Walking out into the garden one afternoon, we noticed that a corner of one of the beds had be completely chopped up and smeared across the path. The land where the park is used to be a full-grass lawn mowed regularly by Lehigh, and they still mow in the pathways and other areas where there is grass (at least until we get our hand-powered push mower). One of the big mowers must have cut across the bed and mowed it into the ground.

At first I was really frustrated by this, and got angry at them for mowing over the corner of the bed, but then I saw it as an opportunity to creatively use & respond to change. Rather than reshape the bed as it was before, only to have it get cut off again, we accepted feedback from the system and reshaped the bed to make the path big enough for the large riding mowers to get through.
