Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup dried white beans
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp chopped hazelnuts or walnuts (can substitute almonds or pistachios)
  • ½  tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

 

Instructions:

  1. Grind up beans into flour in a food processor (we used a magic bullet)
  2. Add water, one clove of garlic, and dry ingredients and stir until well mixed
  3. Pour into lightly buttered pan and cook until sides crisp and bottom golden brown (~2min)
  4. Meanwhile in another pan, sauté onions, other clove of garlic, raisins, and nuts in butter
  5. Flip and cook until other side golden brown (~1min)
  6. Serve hot, topped with onion, fruit, and nut mixture
